• What's WTP?

Water transfer printing is also called Cubic printing. It’s a technology that can make 2D graphics cover the interface of the 3D product by water cladding. It is suitable for various materials.
  • How to store WTP Film?

    • Humidity: 45%-65%
    • Temperature: 18-25℃
    • Avoid direct sunlight to the film
    • After use, please package the film well, moisture-proof and heat-insulating, also avoid touching the film by hands directly.
  • If I want to do WTP process, what equipment do I need?

    • WTP film
    • Activator
    • Interface paint, primer paint and top coat
    • Abrasive paper
    • Spray gun and air pump
    • Clips and fixtures
    • Transfer tank
    • Eco-friendly circulating drainages system
  • Are all materials suitable to do water transfer printing?

ABS material can be used for the water transfer printing process directly. For other materials, such as iron, glass and other plastic materials, they need to be applied some paint to make the pattern attach the workpiece well.
  • What's the function of activator?

    • Make the ink expand and soft so that it can stretch synchronously with the film.
    • It contains solvents that won’t be dry during water transfer printing and can also maintain the integrity of the graphics.
    • Enhance the adhesion between the pattern and the work piece.
  • What will happen if the activator is sprayed insufficiently or excessively on the film?

    • Insufficiency: Ink on the film won’t be completely softened which will make pinholes.
    • Excessive: Ink on the film will be dissolved and flow which will make pattern distortion.
  • Does the pattern fall off easily?

Choosing suitable topcoat based on different materials to protect the pattern(ex:Anti-UV, crashworthiness), it won’t be easy to be shed and discolored.
  • What is IMD?

IMD is short for "In-Mold Deocration". "Film printing, high-pressure forming, punching, inserting the film into the mold, and do the injection" and "Film Transferring" are collectively referred to as IMD.
  • IMD process type

Generally, there are three types of IMD, IMR(In-Mold Roller), IML(In-Mold Label)(2D), and IMF(In-Mold Forming)(3D). IMF and INS are the same processes, but there is no unified name.
  • What are the advantages of the IMD process?

    • Simplify the process and reduce costs
    • High yield and high-efficiency production
    • Show a tactile surface
    • No coating, Eco-friendly process
  • If I want to do the IMD process, what equipment do I need?

    • High pressure forming machine
    • Punching machine
    • Injection machine
  • Is the pattern of the IMD finished goods easy to fall off?

The film itself has been tested to ensure the hardness of the surface can reach H-3H. All of film must pass the relevant surface tests to protect the pattern won't fall off and discolor easily.
